Following my awakening in 2000, I sat with how I could best serve in the world. Already doing “consciousness” sessions and “Practicing Presence” groups with people and still working as a CEO, in my heart was a knowingness that there was a path more alive in me that would require the totality of my being. 🙏
One evening it crystalized: Songs are a different pathway for love and wisdom to support healing, evolving, becoming more present, open-hearted and deeply aware — a way to bring more love and light into a world in such desperate need of that. 🌈
With energy surging through me I grabbed Eckhart Tolle's book, “The Power of Now”, and re-read his story of awakening. Guitar never far, I started writing the essence of his experience and teachings into song. Stayed with it all night, writing and refining, and by morning, “The Power of Now” song was born. 🎵
Distilling wisdom teachings into words is challenging. And putting that into written word form is much harder, requiring a lot of refinement because no matter what one writes, it's never quite the whole of it. But lyrics, wow!!!
Well, that's the assignment, so challenge accepted! 🥰
