My life in music was profoundly influenced by my sister, Lori. She would buy albums and 45s that to my ear were so melodic it brought me joy. The British sound of The Beatles, The Hollies, The Dave Clark 5, Herman’s Hermits, along with The Beach Boys, The Mamas & the Papas, The Four Seasons, The Byrds, and yes, The Monkees, all planted seeds of harmony deep within me.
Thus, it’s only fitting that next week’s first single, California Dreamin’, was sung with my dear sister. So much fun.
In three weeks, on June 6, another single will be released, followed by the album drop on June 27.
