Playing in clubs back in the day, there were some songs that people (read that women) would request over and over — often, right after I’d just sung it. I didn’t get it. I would think to myself, I just did this! It will be exactly the same!
But something about those songs resonated with them. Touched something within them that they needed touched. Humble servant that I was, I’d sometimes sing it again, even though it was a bit uncomfortable for me.Â
One song that was very consistently asked for was the Bob Welch song, Sentimental Lady, first recorded by Fleetwood Mac, and later, as a way better solo version by Welch.
I do love singing it. And the good thing about releasing the recording is that if you would like to hear it again, I can sing it for you as many times as you like! 😇Â
