94,000 streams of songs from the two albums I put out last year, Magic Kiss and Find Me in Your Heart??? A far cry from the 300 mercy streams I thought I’d get from friends and clients. 😊 That’s not a reflection of how I felt about the quality of the music, but more about the challenges of reaching people.
But through the kindness of family and friends sharing the music, and seriously favorable algorithms, the music reached people. And now, two more albums are on the way!
First up is SOMETHING BORROWED — a collection of cover tunes that span decades. The common thread is that each of these felt right to sing for people during the pandemic in hope of either bringing solace or uplifting their spirits. Just me singing and playing guitar. And my sister as a guest star background vocalist!
It all starts with single #1 dropping on Friday, May 16 — California Dreamin’.
