What fun! Today's the “Find Me in Your Heart” album release. Here's some backstory…
One night, into my awareness popped a voice, “Songs of Awakening”.
Me: “Yeah… what's that?”
Voice: (silence)
Me: “Fine! Be that way!”
The first song written, “The Power of Now”, portrays Eckhart Tolle's awakening and carries the essence of his teachings. Next up was “There's Nothing Wrong with You”, based on Zen Buddhist teacher, Cheri Huber's beautiful book (read it!).
Each song endeavors to capture and share wisdom teachings, offering musical seeds for raising consciousness.
"Be Here Now" (Ram Dass), and “Is It True” (Byron Katie) were the next songs but then...
Voice: “You”
Me: “Me what? Come on, use your words.”
Voice: “YOU!”
Jeez, so touchy, right? But I'm glad we stay in contact, so there's that.
The rest of the album is constituted with songs that share some of the teachings alive in me. “Simple Acts of Kindness”, “Home”, “Don't Give Up”, “Forgive Me Eve”, “Free That Part of Me”, “Sofia Be Free”, and the title track, “Find Me in Your Heart.”
I invite you to allow these songs to light you up, to free you, presence you, empower you, to soothe and heal you. If you really listen to these songs, they will embrace you and support you in living more and more as the divine being of love you already are.
